Pastor LaSonja Harness Brooks is well known for her charismatic personality and transparent lifestyle. She has overcome many things in this life and believes she is the catalyst to help hurting and struggling women to conquer life issues and to be confident and empowered.
Pastor is an outstanding speaker and teacher of the kingdom message. She has shared the love of God through word and song for many years as a praise and worship leader. Pastor LaSonja is also known as a Worshipping Warrior and believes worship is vital to her survival.
In May 2013, she was ordained as an Evangelist and licensed and ordained as an Elder in September 2015. In 2022, LaSonja was ordained as Worship Pastor. Pastor LaSonja continues to do the work of the kingdom through outreach, ministry, and in the marketplace. LaSonja serves as Worship Pastor, Intercessor, Event Coordinator, at Faith City International Ministries and International Fellowship of Faith Church Ministries, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, under the leadership and covering of Apostles David and Jackie Harewood.
In 2017, LaSonja founded “Polished Pearls” which is a mentorship for girls ages 9-17 where she leads by example. LaSonja is the founder and executive director of Another Chance Enrichment Center, a non-profit faith-based organization for women 18 and over, formed in 2017. She is the owner and president of The LG Effect LLC, established in 2020, as well as the owner and CEO of Weddings and Events by LaSonja, LLC. Mother’s Day, 2020 she launched her first podcast, “The LG Effect.” She is the author of “What the Enemy Meant for Bad; There is a Way of Escape” and "I Am Affirmations Journal." Pastor LaSonja is a graduate of The Logos Prophetic Institute, School of the Prophetic. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Studies from Grand Canyon University, and is the proud mother of one son, Jonathan Barney, and is G-LaLa to her two beautiful granddaughters.
